Board sizes and match rules
A board is a square grid, so the deck behind it has to hold at least as many objectives as the board has squares. Pick the size from how long you want the match to run.
- 4x4 needs 16 objectives — roughly a twenty to forty minute match.
- 5x5 needs 25 and is the standard competitive size.
- 7x7 and 9x9 need 49 and 81, for marathons and long-form events.
- Free centre square, diagonal lines and match timers are all toggled per game.

What is a lockout board?
A lockout board is a shared bingo grid where each square can only be claimed once. When a player completes an objective and claims its square, it is removed from play for everyone else. TCB enforces this automatically with colour-locked claims, plus flags and rerolls for resolving disputes.
How do I make a lockout board?
Choose a mode (VS, ladder, battle or classic lockout), pick a deck or a template from the gallery, set the board size and win condition, then share the room code. Squares lock automatically as they are claimed — there is nothing to configure beyond that.
Can I use a lockout bingo board for tournaments?
Yes. Lock the card before the event so its objectives cannot be edited between matches, then reuse the same locked board across the bracket. That is what makes results comparable from round to round.
How is this different from other bingo tools?
Lockout enforcement, ladder/battle/VS modes, timers, rerolls, stream overlays and a public template gallery are all in one place, with no spreadsheet or bot to wire up. It is built for competitive and streamed play rather than for a caller reading numbers.
Can I run events with more than two players?
Yes. Classic lockout supports up to ten players, VS supports up to four, and battle mode runs 1v1 or 2v2 team play. Each Bingo game supports up to 100 spectators.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Share the room link and players join in a browser. To install the PWA: on iOS Safari tap Share then Add to Home Screen; on Android Chrome tap the three dots then Install app. Claims stay synced across devices.
